This weekend has been full of family and delicious, mouth-watering food. The kind that makes you want to curl up on the couch in your sweatpants with a cup of tea and a good movie, which is exactly how we spent last night. We kicked off the weekend by treating my parents to a show at Studio on Friday night, and in exchange they treated us to dinner at one of my favorite DC restaurants, Posto. Saturday was spent at a lacrosse game at UMD, followed by the most delicious barbeque feast in my parents backyard. This morning has been full of breakfast sandwiches, kona coffee, laundry and some wedding planning. We’re heading out to run some errands, but I think a nice long run and a plate of fruits and veggies might be in order after a weekend full of these beauties:
Pre-show Piccante Pizza at Posto.
Three-meat ravioli in a butter-thyme sauce. One of my top 5 favorite meals in the city.
The most amazing pulled pork in Maryland.
Kona coffee and a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. My perfect Sunday morning.
