We vowed to keep things simple this weekend, but I still wanted to make a nice dinner before we went to the movies on Saturday night (we finally saw this and LOVED it). Since I had some errands to take care of and a 4 mile run on the agenda, I wanted something I could throw together quickly. I bookmarked this recipe for crock pot pork and apples months ago, and it was the perfect meal to cook on a quiet Saturday afternoon. It was spicy and sweet, and came together with practically zero effort. My kind of meal.
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs pork chops
3 sliced apples {gala works nice}
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp spicy mustard
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Place the pork chops at the bottom of your crock pot. Cover with remaining ingredients, place the top on and cook on low for about 6 hours. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste right before serving.
